My 2009 in a nutshell

I've taken about 2 hours to sort out the photos so.... appreciate my effort! (: A summary of my 2009 (excluding December), of course this is not the whole story:

January
1st New Year with Siang; baking session with Siang (Mocha chocolate chip cookies for him to bring to Thailand); the 'proposal'; CNY; Ice Cream Chef (my 1st time there) with XY; Mich's birthday at the barrage.

This month was quite difficult to get by because Siang had to go to Thailand for about 3 weeks due to his OCS training. I remember waiting by the phone every night, hoping that he has found a reasonably-priced way to call me from Thailand.

February
Cupcake for baby on our 1st year anniversary; dinner at Equinox for our 1st year celebration; Pris' birthday at Suntec; simple V'day; couple-birkenstocks.

This was the month whereby I started blogshopping (thanks to my friends around me), and it's also the month I started my unhealthy lifestyle/diet.

March
PC outing (full attendance which was very rare); Night Safari with baby (in our couple tee!); baby's commissioning ball; my birthday celebration with my family at Ikoi; IMBA kebab with yoghurt at a turkish dining place (recommended by XY); one of the most special birthday presents I've ever received (XY gave me a treasure chest amongst other stuff); bouquet from baby YAYY (thanks for the durian cake and digital photo frame); my birthday celebration with my uni friends at House@Dempsey; ah-lian extensions with PC; baby's commissioning parade (he looked so darn handsome).

A long and eventful month, with loads of photos, because it was my birthday! :D And... I picked up a few makeup skills, needed to perfect it though.

April
Clubbing with PC (without L&CY); my belated birthday with PC; Guess wallet from PC

I will always remember my birthday celebration with PC, what a great night. We sang, we drank, and we went crazy. We should have more nights out like this!
This was the month with the whole blogging incident, oh-so-unnecessary. And, I was addicted to Kat Deluna's songs such as Unstoppable, I replayed it a thousand times. It's funny how I remember such small details.

May
Baby and I prepared a steamboat feast (okay his mum helped too) and we had a fantastic time. I miss the shabu-shabu phase (shabu shabu honey bunnnn). (:

I started slimming down, could no longer stand looking fat. Trying to fulfill my resolution huh?
Exam period in the 1st week, UGGGG. But it was 3 months of holidays soon after!
Fabregas 22nd birthday! <3
Baby's article got published in the Newpaper and he was 'Letter of the Week"! I have about 5 copies of it in my drawer hehehe.

June (half way there!)
PCD concert with Dianne; PC at Brewerkz@Indoor Stadium; my first trip to a flea market with Z; baby's 20th birthday; my first Coach bag (a surprise from baby); catch up with Sijing&Christine

I started giving tuition to Pung and it was a great responsibility because 1) he was gonna take his Olevels at the end of the year, and 2) his brother is my boyfriend and I would have to answer to his family as well.

July
Was introduced to Mimolette by my sister; Uncle Richard's special birthday celebration at Aunt Vivienne's place (see that huge chunk of lamb); my dad's simple birthday celebration at home (durian cake yummzzzz); couple loafers with baby; PC outing at Tony Roma's and silly camwhoring at random places

I've come to realise the effects of pilates and was loving the sessions. I believe it saved my life, big time. Started reading up on makeup techniques.

August
XY's birthday; had the best bread/pastry ever at Holland V; got to know Zee better (so in love with her); Fabregas sent an Arsenal jacket over (okay Baby paid for it); went shopping at Queensway and baby bought his soccer boots chosen by me; Jam&Hop (planning it was no easy task); my brother's wedding (what a beautiful night)!

Concealer and blusher work wonders. And yes, with the right eyebrow pencil, it makes a stark difference.

September
Baby visited me in school for the first time and he fell in love with the Indo food; ZN's birthday celebration at Beach Cabana

2 pair of STEVE MADDEN SHOES.
And best of all, I GOT MY LICENSE on my first attempt, just four days after baby got his. Mad happy.

October
My grandma's birthday; BBQ in NUS with the usual people (to raise funds for OCIP); first car wash with baby; Once Upon A Milkshake (highly recommended!); JB's birthday (planned by Pris); CHAMPIONS SAINTS

Exams in one month, freaking outttttt.
Baby got interviewed by TNP and it was published the next day, ONE WHOLE PAGE! This time I have three copies of it. :D

November
Swee Choon (meesua kuay is the best); HK&Macau trip; Skinny Pizza with XY; bought FM2010 for baby

Felt like crap after my last exam paper on 26th Novemeber, just didn't feel good about all the papers. Thankfully it turned out much better than expected. VERY GRATEFUL.

Now that I'm done, I feel as though 2009 is ending too soon. What will my 2010 be like? Better I hope, especially academic-wise. Wow this post took 5 hours. I guess I'm too easily distracted.

It's almost 2010, and I've decided to do a recap of my life in 2009. Need some time to sort out the photos, but before that I need to refresh my memory, so wait for it! I foresee that I'll have lots of time tomorrow, or maybe not, BECAUSE BIDDING STARTS TMR.

Baby has been concerned about my health lately because I've been feeling weak and my whole body is aching, no thanks to what I've been up to (for the past 10months actually). Baby has even come up with a chant in an attempt to brainwash me. I know he cares about me, but my mindset is screwed and I'll need time to convince myself that I need help.

Turning in early tonight. I only slept at 8am yesterday (Monday) and woke up at 12pm, major sleep deficit. I was so bored from 2-8am that I picked out clothes from my wardrobe and started mixing and matching and trying them on, and that's when I realised how much weight I've lost since last year. I don't even know why baby fell for me at that point of time, I was basically a walking tub of lard. I still am, but it's a smaller tub.

1. My FB status: My Fabregas destroyed Aston Villa within 20mins! MY HERO
Who can deny that fact?

When I switched on the TV at half-time, I was pretty bummed by the 0-0 scoreline, and the fact that my favourite player wasn't playing... ARGH awful. Then Fabregas came on for Denilson and things started to look gooooood, way too good if you ask me. What a difference he made, his vision was much needed and it paid off. 1 fantastic goal from a free kick and another within 20mins, that composure and confidence.. I would say we deserved the 3 points, and we definitely deserved the 3 goals (Diaby scored another beauty to seal the victory). I pranced around like a little kid and hugged baby when Fabregas scored the two goals. Another great week for Arsenal, with Chelsea and Spurs ending their respective games in draws. Going up up up!

2. Avatar in 3D was good shit. The concept of the movie is very interesting and intriguing, I remember turning to baby and saying "wow this movie is imba", at least 3 times during the movie.

I don't know about you guys, but this is the first movie whereby I'm actually rooting for the non-humans (Na'vi). I liked the idea of us eventually giving back to Eywa one day, what's been borrowed has to be returned.

I found Neytiri to be very beautiful in Avatar.
"I see you"
It was definitely worth the $13, and I suggest that everyone watch it in 3D to fully appreciate the movie. I was amazed by the fimiling and effects. (Avatar was filmed with newly developed stereoscopic cameras that simulate human sight.)

3. This is top of my shopping list. First thing that I'm gonna get when I receive my allowance next month (which is in a few days time WOOHOO) is none other than:

It's Anna Sui Ring Rouge! Aren't they cute???
And I'm still deciding if I should get this too:

Anna Sui certainly understands the power of attractive packaging, YES?

4. I'm hooked onto GLAMOUR AGE on FB, probably to the same extent as my sister being addicted to Cafe World. It's good that I can take a break from it every now and then (actually I'm forced to do so) because my "Energy" will only be replenished after some time, 5mins to replenish 1 "Energy" point to be exact.
So.. in order to maximize my time, I will pack my room tomorrow (while waiting). It's fun running your own modeling agency, SERIOUS.

Decided to do the Xmas Eve post as well because I think my schedule will be quite packed in the next few days, don't wanna let it accumulate ya?

Xmas party at Aunt Vivienne's has somewhat become a tradition for me. Aunt Vivienne treats me very well and she told me I'm always welcome to join them for Sunday dinners as well.
Food was imba as usual. Aunt Vivienne is a superb cook, and I would love to learn from her. I enjoy cooking, but cleaning up afterwards, not so much.

Salad and bruschetta (ORGASMIC STUFF) for starters.

Pumpkin soup as requested by my family because my brother isn't a fan of the mushroom soup, BUT THE MUSHROOM SOUP IS MY FAVOURITE!! I think my brother is more used to cream of mushroom instead of the type you get at Marche?

The lamb chops were fabulous, I wonder where Aunt Vivienne learnt how to cook like that. She's a natural chef! And she always emphasizes how healthy her food is, and I couldn't agree more. She only uses olive oil, she's a fan of organic ingredients and she doesn't believe in frozen food.

Look at that huge-ass turkey! Probably the best turkey I've ever eaten, not to mention the stuffing which tasted like german bratwurst. Excellent stuff. I know turkeys are normally dry and tasteless, but this turkey was very delicious. I like drowning the turkey meat in gravy and cranberry sauce before savouring it. Yumyummmm.

Dessert: home-made cheesecake and NZ icecream

PRESENT TIME! Aunt Vivienne is very thoughtful when it comes to gifts, and she's very generous too.

She got me a Hello Kitty bag (with my desired size and strap length), and Siang received a Levi's polo tee (of the correct size!) which he wore the next day!

I fetched Siang home and we exchanged gifts.
Him first.

I spent the longest time making that card and wrapping the box to put the present in. I'm glad he likes both the card and the top! The top is certainly different from what he has in his wardrobe (tshirts and shirts and polos), and I think he looks darn handsome in it. (: Anyway I'm very proud of the card I made (Siang says he loves it very much) HEHEHE.

Then it was my turn. I WAS SUPER EXCITED!

It was a pleasant surprise because: 1) I didn't expect him to know of such a brand, and 2) he has never been into perfumes, and most importantly 3) OUR BUDGET WAS SUPPOSED TO BE $30 (yes I overspent too but certainly not as much as him!!)

No they are not from Siang. My sister's mother-in-law brought it over when we invited her for Popiah session last Sunday. And if you think they're just a bunch of pink roses, you're hell wrong. Look closer.

Roses carved from SOAP, and they were made by her maid. Talented much? They smell really good too, and very lasting! I was telling Aunt Vivienne that she should get her maid to sell them during V'day, bound to make lots of $$$.

Dragged Siang to Tampopo last week to try their ramen. To be honest, I wasn't impressed at all, in fact I thought it was just average. The ramen at Central still owns. However I thought the type of noodles Tampopo used was something different.

Couldn't resist ordering their desserts! The usual matcha icecream + redbean and milk pudding! Surprisingly, Siang and I really enjoyed the milk pudding. Very smooth and very sweet.

Took a stroll by the river after dinner, romance romance (actually I think it was to walk off the bloated feeling hahaha). It was drizzling earlier on so the weather was perfect, very breezy.

Xmas gathering at Amelyn's house in Woodlands. It's been some time since I last went to her place.

The food that Godma and Amelyn prepared were very cute and festive! I was so in love with the dry laksa (Godma's specialty) that I had two servings of it. I even wanted to go for another serving but I thought about how sinful it was and I managed to stop myself. Self-control.

It was fun catching up with Amelyn and Ronald. I think Amelyn is in good hands after talking to Ronald. (:

Went J8 to get ticket for Avatar one day in advance because I wanted to watch it in 3D and it was FULLHOUSE yesterday. Well, what to expect? It was a public holiday.
And as we were making our way to the carpark, I saw "MOVING OUT SALE: 40% OFF" at I Nuovi and I knew I had to get something.

Lip treatment + Facescape (highlighter and bronzer) + Eyeshadow brush + Undereye brush + Metallogy eyeshadow = $90 ONLY!
Time to pamper myself with new makeup! Wanted to get Undercover (which is a concealer for dark circles) but then it's a hassle trying to coordinate with my current Laneige foundation shade so I decided to give it a miss.

Next entry: Xmas eve at Aunt Vivienne's, IMBA FOOD !

I just spent 5 hours preparing baby's Xmas present, hope it'll put a smile on his face when he gets it. :D

We haven't decided on the time and venue for the exchange of presents but I'm darn excited!!

This year we set a budget of $30, but of course both of us spent beyond the budget. And since my house is full of hidden treasures, I managed to find some materials to make something for him too! After being with him for close to two years, I know he is not good at artwork, and I've come to accept that. HAHAHA.

I met XY yesterday for some catching up. We settled down for ramen at our favourite ramen place.

I had almost forgotten how much I love the ramen there. It's definitely the best bowl of ramen I've ever had, I finished the soup (which is unlike me),seasoned egg, charsiew (despite the fat on the slices) and even the spring onion without realising it! It was XY who introduced me to this place and she said "I only bring you to the best dining places", which I totally agree.

Aren't they lovely?

They're so colourful and oh-so tempting, both XY and I couldn't resist buying a few home.

XY no doubt has the longer arms but stability matters more when it comes to cam-whoring right? Yes/No?

Tried Arnolds chicken last week and boy was it goooooooood. Owns KFC and even Popeye's in my opinion.

I think my baby looks very cute in the photo above, right right right?? I was pretty upset because we were only given one thigh and one drumstick out of the 5 pieces. I HATE BREAST MEAT fyi. I enjoyed the mashed potato (but Popeye's mashed potato is the best!!) and root beer though, reminded me of A&W. :D By the way, try the outlet at Hougang Green Shopping Mall instead of the one at City Plaza because it's less crowded. Arnolds even provide the option of delivery at 6-ARNOLDS, I'm not kidding.

Dinner with family last Friday, and I gotta highlight two dishes! 1) Oyster omelette 2) Veggie with 3 types of eggs (salted egg, century egg and chicken egg)

It was awesomeshitzzzzzzz. The best oyster omelette I've ever had I'm not exaggerating. The moment I tried it I told myself that I gotta bring baby there one day, he'll love it.

Anyway I went furniture shopping with my family after that and my dad has made a deposit for my new wardrobe. I'll blog about it in detail when it's done okay! The designer said that it'll be done by CNY for sure. NO it's not those from IKEA, it's from Closet Design (I saw many certificates from Mediacorp while I was at Closet Design @ Balestier). The designer was very experienced and professional! Very excited to see the final product, but then..... think about all the packing I gotta do. ZZZ

Baby and I went on a date on Saturday. :]

Stumbled upon this stall which sells Taiwanese snacks, and their fried mushrooms are very delicious! Reminded me of the times whereby Audrey and I will tapao fried mushrooms from Tampines Mall/Century Square. I swear I could have finished one whole packet of fried mushrooms, but of course gotta share with baby right? I'm not that greedy (at least must pretend not to be in front of baby). Pork with Asparagus from Tori-Q is also one of my favourite snacks so baby got it for me too. I'm a happy fatty that day.

Caught Bodyguards and Assasins after that (and we smuggled the food in which we finished before the show even started). I read ZN blog that faithful morning and... there were some spoilers there (ZN can you provide some form of warning before jumping into the spoilers? HAHA) but luckily I ain't the type of person who will get uptight about these small details. The buildup of the show was quite slow from my POV but it got really exciting towards the end. I love Donnie Yen's fight scenes, I kept cringing with fear I think baby got quite irritated. :p Nicholas Tse was great in the movie, and I kept crying because I felt sorry for him. Rating: 4/5. Just enjoy the action and ignore those scenes which didn't make sense.

Driving to The Central in my Latio:

Manhattan Fish Market (don't ask me why didn't we try the Fishermen Wharf, SIGH). Baby won "a free starter" in the sure-win lucky draw so we ordered the Garlic Butter Mussels (which baby loves) without hesitation, on top of the usual seafood platter for two. We chose to sit outdoors because I couldn't say no to the view, quite a romantic setting.

The fried oyster was my favourite part of the seafood platter, and I thought the fish was tasty too. (Okay I need to get over the fried oysters, BUT IT'S NOT EASY I TELL YOU)
I know I was a glutton on Saturday, don't remind me please, feeling very guilty already. FAT OIL SINFUL, yea you get my drift.

YESTERDAY WAS AN EVENTFUL DAY. Haven't been shopping (excluding online shopping) for the longest time and was glad that my sister took half her day off to spend some quality sister-bonding time with me! I can't remember when was the last time I actually picked a top/bottom/dress off the rack and tried it on in the fitting room. It felt soooooooo good, almost therapeutic.

Went shopping at 313@Somerset for the first time and got some imba stuff from 4levels of F21. :D 3 skirts at one go just like that! Was at GlitterGlam before that and I found this g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s tube dress which was about $70 but I wouldn't mind paying that amount. Unfortunately only M size was available and I tried it on and............ it was the first time I wished I was bigger sized. An S or XS would be perfect, SIGH. I kept thinking of the dress for the entire day, I'm not kidding. ): My sister also thought it would have been a worthy purchase, DOUBLE SIGH. Anyway, we headed over to Tangs for more shopping and we bought some essentials HEHE, mad happy!

Let me introduce to you the 'Original Handburger' which we had for lunch!
HANDburger, get it? (referring to the photo of me posing with the burger) HAHA I'm lame like that. -.-" Both my sister and I opted for the Original Handburger because we felt that it would be a safe choice and boy, TOP NOTCH!! Owns Carls' Junior hands down. Tender beef patty, complementary cheese and vegetables, DELICIOUS bread.

Even the sides are interesting (of course you can opt for fries instead, but even their fries are tasty!)

It's a stuffed tomato! I absolutely enjoyed the coleslaw in it. Usually not a big fan of tomatoes, but I actually ate it! Very juicy indeed.

We proceeded for high-tea session at this atas place in Paragon, felt so much like a tai-tai if you know what I mean.

My sister is the best! (: I love love love catching up with her. Thank you for a fun-filled afternoon!

(Baby you should know why) Looking forward to HH's launch tmr. Anyway the 3 blogshops approved by baby are BC, HH and L&B. And if I want an item from another blogshop, I gotta seek approval from baby first (like just now). I know it's for my own good, I appreciate your help baby! <3

Wedding bells and shoes you would die for

Baby accompanied me to Ms Quek's (Mrs Lai's) wedding last Saturday and it was an elegant and classic catholic church wedding.

It was my first time attending a church wedding so it was all very new to me. I liked the simplicity of it as the focus was mainly on the couple (obviously) and you can feel the genuine love between them and the sincere blessings from their family and friends. It was very touching listening to them exchange their "I do"s and "I will"s. I know I wouldn't have a church wedding in the future but it's alright to dream once in a while ya?

Great seeing my TJ classmates!

I believe that all ladies look the best in their wedding gowns. Ms Quek (still not used to calling her Mrs Lai) looked stunning in her wedding gown!!

Baby and I drove to PS after that; both of us realised that we haven't been on a proper date for quite some time already.

Baby enjoyed his Spanish and German Bratwurst and he even gloated that he made the better choice.
I beg to differ.

My Atlantic Salmon was imba. The pasta went very well with the salmon. I remember it was XY who introduced this place to me, very affordable and value for money!

It felt darn good going out on a date like that, looking forward to the next one. Baby has already 'booked' me for Bodyguards and Assassins next weekend. :D

CDC BBQ just now (Monday night) @ ECP. Thank goodness I drove there, it would have been a bitch walking to the bbq pit.

I loved the crabsticks and satay. Ahhhh my marshmallows are the best, REALLY!! I'll roast them for everyone to try when I get the chance okay? But you gotta be patient because I believe in slowly roasting them to perfection.

I thought it was quite a successful BBQ, well at least I enjoyed myself (despite feeling pretty awkward at the start, but it got much better of course). It reminded me of those CDC days whereby all of us were busy preparing for our drama production, how I miss being a director, and how I miss acting.
SIGH I'm 20 years old and there were 17 year old juniors at the BBQ, I'm feeling old.
Anyway, the CDC bunch were saying that Siang and XY really look as though they're siblings and I couldn't agree more! HEHE. They look more alike in real life, trust me.

YES, if you haven't heard, ARSENAL BEAT LIVERPOOL 2-1 at Anfield.
YES, the photo of Fabregas has nothing to do with the match because he didn't score (but he assisted Arshavin's beautiful goal).
YES, gotta thank Johnson for that own goal which equalized the match in the 50th minute.
But you know what? In soccer, results matter. And we did play the beautiful football in the second half. (Gotta admit I got kinda worried in the first half that we would lose the match)

Imba weekend for Arsenal because Man Utd lost, and Chelsea were held at home. Was sms-ing YY (fellow female Arsenal supporter!!! You know how difficult it is to find one?) during the match and it felt good to have someone to share your thoughts with.
Was grabbing baby's arm and my bolster every now and then because I was ganjiong-spider throughout the match (as usual).

Caught Storm Warriors II on Saturday.

Aaron Kwok was in great shape and ever so charming.

But baby was telling me that he thinks Aaron Kwok turned to Botox to help him stay young.

Considering the fact that Storm Warriors (the first one) was produced 11 years ago, I didn't really understand certain parts in Storm Warriors II. There weren't sufficient explanations throughout the movie in my opinion. Alright, for those crazy fans out there, I know you guys can explain every specific detail but WHAT ABOUT PEOPLE LIKE ME? To be honest, the movie reminded me of 300 (the killing scenes) and Harry Potter. Anyway, don't you think that it was... too digitalized? Wasn't that impressed with the background too. Certain scenes were pretty amusing, humour factor +2. Still, a worthy watch for fans and those with cash to spare.

Watched Zombieland yesterday (Sunday) after baby's soccer match!!

Heard good reviews from baby's team mates and since I'm a sucka for zombie-related movies, I pestered baby to watch it with me.
It was hilarious!! I loved the "rules" that the main character came up with and the fact that he kept reminding the audience about the various rules throughout the movie. It was an interesting twist to those hard core serious zombie-movies like Resident Evil. Certainly enjoyed it. :D

3.12am. I need to stop sleeping so late/early. Body clock.
Next update: Ms Quek's (Mrs Lai's) church wedding.

Anyway, I had an agreement with baby that I'll only shop at 3 blogshops (determined by me). Can I do it? I've been spending way too much.
Am having mixed feelings about my weight, 43.5 but I still think I look like a tub of lard.

This time, I went to the Timbre at Substation and I find the ambience there is better than the one at Arts House. It's more conducive for chit chatting as it's less rowdy and crowded. The service there is also better, in my opinion.

I'm digging the whole style of tucking my top into my skirt. :] But I need to get more belts which fit me (preferably 23-24inches), I like to wrap it high-waist. Anyway can you see the bag that my baby bought for me?

Fahrun got punched twiced by the opponent and he said "WTF" in response to it and the referee sent both players off the pitch. So.... punching somebody twice is equivalent to saying "WTF"? Zee is so pretty and hot!! She's also very friendly and cute too. She has been with Jiahui (her first and only boyfriend) for about 6 years already, how sweet is that?? I love catching up with her.

The guys are very easy-going and they never fail to make me laugh with their idiocy. Jinhui always includes me in their outings and I really appreciate it. WAGS are always welcome to join them. :D

The calamari and stuffed mushrooms were awesome. I wouldn't mind one of each right now! I've been giving in to all my food temptations lately and I've been binge eating non stop! Like now, I'm munching my way through a bag of Belgian chocolate coated raisins from Marks and Spencer as I'm typing this entry. Talk about eating disorders, I'm fluctuating both ways.

Driver of the day! I need to practice, especially my parallel parking. SIGH.

It's a very nua day for me today. I'm lying on Siang's bed using his laptop while he's at his NEW desktop playing FM2010. My cramps have been torturing me since yesterday (gosh it was terrible).
Allow me to elaborate. ZN and CY came over to my place and we watched tv since my mahjong set was in my sister's house. Ryan bought Katong Laksa for us to eat (actually he initially wanted to buy it for ZN only) at about 3pm. My cramps were already killing me, yet I still had 3 mouthfuls of Katong Laksa and I began to feel very uncomfortable shortly after. I went to the toilet and puked big time, not intentionally okay! Was feeling like crap in the toilet and I thought I was gonna faint. ): Yea it was that bad. I could even taste my gastric juice. YUCK.

I'm done with my ranting. Gonna take a nap. Hope it'll take my pain away.

Why New Moon is GV's 'Top Pick of the Week', I'll never understand. Moving on, here are two movies I'm quite interested in watching.

Yea, I know 2012 has been out since forever.
I think Zombieland is gonna be quite silly but I've always been into zombie-related shows so why not?

Since Siang mentioned in his blog that he's gonna watch every movie Will-Ferrell has ever starred in, we rented Semi-Pro from Video Ezy a few days back.

It was pretty decent (totally Siang's kind of humour), I would say that Will Ferrell is a natural comedian. Worth renting for a lazy afternoon.

I need to take a nap. I woke up at 7.30am this morning to collect my passport from ICA and it took me less than 1min before my turn because I made an appointment online last week. Cheers to the Internet.
Looking forward to the Japanese meal that my mum is buying me for lunch later! Who says I'm not eating? I'm eating too much.

Celebrated DJ's 22nd birthday last week at Arts House Timbre (my first time there) and baby was invited too! I'm glad that I got to know Leekay and Mingli better because it's fun hanging out with them. I think both of them are super cute and they take jokes very well. They love to camwhore as much as I do. :D

Hawaiian Pizza which came with two Edingers.

The much-raved-about Roasted Dusk Pizza. I guess I had too high expectations after hearing from my friends many times, and I was kinda disappointed actually, but baby certainly enjoyed it very much.

The guys were animated as usual. Very noisy and retarded.

Zee will be going too so I'm very excited. That poor girl fell sick yesterday and is still having sore throat now. Hopefully she'll be feeling much better tonight.

Something random
Despite missing a penalty, Fabregas is still my favourite soccer player and I dreamt of him on Saturday night. Come to think of it, I've been having lots of dreams lately and I feel tired all the time when I wake up the next morning. This means I've not been sleeping well right?

Baby and I were at Teoheng from 3-7pm today and it was great fun! Well, I was kinda grumpy and cranky at the start but it got better after a while. PMS bitch to the max (sorry baby).

I remember insisting on taking a photo with WuZun when I went singing with PC a few years ago, maybe 4-5 years ago? So today I insisted that baby take one for me, just for fun you know. I've moved on since then. 4 hours of non-stop singing is no joke, or perhaps I'm getting too old. Metabolism rate is darn slow. SIGH. Anyway ZN was at Teoheng too! So I hopped in to say hi to her and her family, her mum still looks so young and beautiful!

Katong Laksa for dinner, it's been far too long since I last had it.

I finished everything despite telling myself that I should stop consuming carbo forever. I've not eaten it for so long that I've forgotten how imba it is! SLURP. They were very generous with the prawns and cockles (my favourite part of laksa) and it wasn't too spicy. (:

Proceeded to Ice Cream Chef because baby hasn't tried it before.

I picked the safe choice of Chocolate with Kinder Bueno while he had the Durian with Cornflakes as recommended by his friend (who is working at Ice Cream Chef). Baby's friend is very pretty and I think she's very friendly too! I told baby I wanna get to know her! :D

Came home to a larger-than-usual package and I immediately knew my shoes have arrived!!

Excited much?
It's kinda difficult to balance despite the platform in front but I'll learn to master the skill of walking in those shoes soon. Gotta find a suitable occasion too I suppose. But I'm madly in love with them! Very good material and luckily I got one size bigger than my usual. Couldn't stop admiring those shoes! Surprisingly baby told me that he approves of those shoes. AWESOMEZZZZZ.

I know I'm very blessed to have a boyfriend like Siang. He tries his best to make me happy (almost) all the time. *BEAM*

I'm very happy today because Siang told me to get the bag I've been wanting to get and he'll pay for it.

So now, IT'S MINE. It was love at first sight when I spotted it last Saturday and I've been thinking about it since then. Remember in my previous entry I mentioned that the bag I wanted was SOLD OUT (baby wanted to surprise me by buying it for me initially)? I saw it in Wheelock Place today but it wasn't in perfect condition so the salesperson helped me call the nearby outlets and it was available in Ion! How to resist right? So I called baby immediately and asked him if I should get it and he said yes and instructed me to buy it without hesitation! I love the striking colours, and the length of the strap and the size of the bag is just so.... ME. It's simply gorgeous! :D

Anyway, I brought PC to Skinny Pizza because I wanted to try more of it! This time, Salami and Pesto WITH GOAT CHEESE, and we had Portobello Mushroom soup and Sweet Corn Crab soup (with real crab meat in it!), which were insanely good.

I really think that Skinny Pizza is a great place to chill out with your friends. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY ME!! It's at Wheelock Place level 3 so remember to check it out! I think it's also available at Suntec. By the way, there will only be 3 types of soup everyday (it changes everyday) so you will not know what soups are available till you get there, but trust me, you don't have to worry because I've tried 3 types of soup so far and all 3 have been delicious.

As you might have already noticed, L wasn't with us because she had work.
I was very tempted to get a thick jacket from BYSI but decided against it since it was $89 and I don't think I'll be travelling to a cold country anytime soon.

I'm still too lazy to sort out my loots from the Macau/HK trip.Have been re-watching random episodes of Family Guy instead. Awesome!

I told Michelle that I wanted to get a fringe which allows me to switch from bangs to side parting whenever I feel like it. Anyway I realise that Michelle knows alot about what I've been up to, because she's also my sister and brother-in-law's hairstylist! Yesterday she asked me about my HK trip and even asked about Dianne and Chevelle (both are my sister's friends).

Eyebrow threading at our usual place. Very reasonably priced so if you're looking for a good eyebrow threading place, just let me know. I've introduced this place to many friends already!
I was starving by the end of this vainpot-session so I pestered XY to suggest a place for us to have our LINNER/DUNCH (lunch+dinner) since both of us haven't eaten anything for breakfast too.

Introducing........ SKINNY PIZZA @ Wheelock Place!

Very attentive service, very crispy squid ink skinny pizza with fresh seafood, and very tasty pumpkin soup. Surprisingly the place was quite empty, I think XY and I were the only customers there at one point of time. In my opinion, it wasn't expensive at all, considering the standard of the food. The bill came up to about $34, reasonable eh?

Happy us! Damn satisfied with Skinny Pizza, will definitely go back for more. I shall make it a point to bring PC there soon.

Met Siang after that for dinner. Do you recognize the background? We'll always take this 'traditional' shot whenever we're dining at that place.

YUP it's IKOI once again! It's our way of celebrating the end of our exams.

My pick of the day was the salmon skin handroll while his was the salmon sashimi (ALWAYS THE SAME FOR HIM).
Anyway I ordered the salmon sushi and was splitting the riceball into two so I can have minimal rice but Siang told me that the sushi master saw what I was doing and he FROWNED and POUTED at me (I didn't see that of course). We were sitting directly in front of the sushi master so it was kinda awkward and I was afraid he won't make any more handrolls/sushi for me! Blame it on my eating disorder. Luckily that was towards the end of the meal already.

Ahhhhhh I miss the sashimi. I ate till I got quite sick of it that night but I wouldn't mind a few slices now. Law of diminishing marginal returns.

At the start of this entry I mentioned that XY and I headed over to Bishan.
So... what was that trip for?
XY accompanied me to Bishan to get Football Manager 2010 for Siang!

Look at him beam. CUTE.
I couldn't get the bag that I was in love with because I had to choose between spending my last dollar on it or Siang's Football Manager. Well, it's quite obvious which option I chose eh?
Siang told me he wanted to get the bag for me yesterday but it was SOLD OUT. ): But thanks for the effort baby!

I gotta feeling, that tonight's gonna be a good night.

Macau/HK

I've dedicated this afternoon (or rather, maximum 3 hours) in an attempt to complete this entry. Of course I wouldn't touch on every single detail because... I have about 400 photos in my camera, so just the highlights ya! But it'll be a long entry, I can already feel it. Well, the postman just arrived with 4 packages for me so I'm trying to resist the temptation of opening them now, shall wait till later.

DAY 1
Baby fetched me to the airport (so awesome to have a boyfriend who can drive whenever he wants to) and I think the last time we spent time apart was his OCS Thailand trip.

While we were having a light breakfast at the overpriced kopitiam, he suddenly told me his tummy wasn't feeling very well and he needed the toilet urgently. Guess what? He went to withdraw some money from the ATM and gave it to me! He said it's for my shopping, AWWWWWW. (:

Arrived at the HK Airport and was waiting for the ferry to Macau.

It was my first time being in Macau and I'm sorry to say that Macau is probably for gamblers. There's nothing much to shop (let's say there was NOTHING for me) but I guess the amount of good food made up for it. Shall mention certain food highlights later on.

Yup, my sister brought her Hershey over with her. Hershey says 'HI' to everyone!

Here comes the good snacks!!

The porkchop bun was awesome! Very crispy and I even felt that the carbo was worth it. But the main highlight was.... THE MACAU PORTUGUESE EGGTART! I told myself that I will never ever eat another Portuguese eggtart in SG. NO FIGHT.

I liked the atmosphere of the whole place, it was very crowded and the shops were busy making a living.

Macau has many famous almond cookies shops but too bad I'm not really into them. Just feel that almond cookies are very dry and it makes my throat sore. Bought some "crispy ba kwa" for baby though! I knew he would enjoy it! I don't think I've seen it in SG before, it's really pretty tasty, but of course, girls shouldn't eat it too much, FATTENING AND SINFUL.

This is the Ruins of St Paul's. It used to be a church before it was destroyed in a serious fire, and all that was left was the front wall.
"The architecture of St Paul's Church mixed together the style of the European Renaissance period and that of eastern architecture with a good continuation of the Chinese and western elements and fine workmanship of carving."

This was the dining place that Bryan's father was raving about. His dad even said that we could send him the bill if we weren't impressed with the food. The meal cost us about SGD$400 (!@#$%), so it's no joke. SIGH, don't think the food was worth that much. Verdict: overrated.

We walked for a very long time before we found this place, it was pretty isolated. It was about 10 degrees celsius so I was practically freezing in the streets.

These two dishes were the ones which I thought was not bad, but the ridiculously-huge prawns were damn expensive. Wouldn't go there again, definitely. On the other hand, the guys had a great time drinking the wine because it was damn cheap and good, I guess that was the only thing which was value-for-money.

We went to the dog-racing stadium (yup, it's practically like horse racing) after dinner.

The rest placed a a few bets for a few matches and it was quite fun actually! I just didn't wanna gamble, I would rather save it for shopping at HK. Plan ahead for the future yo. I kept telling myself to bet on number 4 (because it's Fabregas' number) but damn it kept losing! FREAKING LOUSY, no wonder its odds were so good.
Dog racing is pretty cruel actually, they put the dogs into their respective stalls where they will be in total darkness before the race starts, and when they're finally let out, they will just chase the 'rabbit' till the end of the race. When they're in total darkness, they'll tend to get afraid because they can't see a single shit, so their first instinct when they're released is to chase whatever they see running away from them, which in this case is the 'rabbit'.

Moving on, I had the Double-skin Milk with red bean and I don't understand what the big hoo-ha is about.

Okay, perhaps it's nice to have something warm in this freezing weather, but other than that I cannot seem to get the appeal. I enjoy trying new food, so it was still a good experience. I'm sucha redbean-person!

Day 2
Dimsum for breakfast at a famous shop. Ask me personally and I'll tell you where it is! Certainly worth the $$$ (reasonably-priced).

The one I'm holding in my hands was the sausage bun, FREAKING IMBA!! The sausage went very well with the carbo. Siewmai was impressive too, very different from SG's, it's more chewy in Macau, and I prefer it that way. Anyway, the dimsum place had a very old-school feeling if you get what I mean, it's nothing posh or glamorous but you will enjoy having your dimsum there. The boss is pretty proud of his achievements and he'll bring you around the place to share his stories with you. He's also into painting and photography and he had some artwork which I liked very much!

MUFFIN TIME! Was instantly attracted by the pungent fragrance and we actually waited for 45mins for it to be ready (HEEHEE, we were to early and the shops weren't fully opened yet).

Took a stroll around the area and I started doing some silly poses. Normal poses first!

Anywayyyyyyyyy, we visited The Venetian. Very beautiful infrastructure. If you think it looks pretty grand on the outside, wait till you see the inside.

Don't you think the concept is pretty cool?
Since I mentioned earlier on that I'm not really into gambling (and losing money), I spent some time walking around, exploring the place. I found this atas cafe which had free internet so I sent baby an email while I was sipping on a cup of coffee. It's quite difficult to find coffee which suit my tastebuds in Macau, theirs is simply too SOUR for me. So it was nice to have a cup of normal coffee in Macau for once.

Crab porridge! Very famous and I can understand why.

Okay here comes the insanely-good meal.
We reserved a suckling pig (you don't reserve seats, you simply reserve the suckling pig and you gotta make reservations one day beforehand) the previous day and we were looking forward to this meal!!

I've told many people about this but I gotta repeat it, it was THE BEST SUCKLING PIG I've ever eaten in my life so far. The meat was tender, the skin was freaking crispy, and the tomato rice underneath it went very well with it.
The fish was very very delicious too, it just melts in your mouth. YUMMMMM. I have not forgotten about the African chicken! The potatoes were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was heavenly. Everyone was fighting to dip their bread into the sauce, no kidding!

Headed over to the Grand Lisboa. It was very grand indeed. My history knowledge certainly increased while walking around the lobby and taking in as much information as possible. Stanley Ho certainly spent a fortune (that's an understatement) on the lobby alone.

Day 3
Crab roe noodles for breakfast!

OMG IT WAS IMBAAAAA, do they have it in SG???

We took the ferry to HK after breakfast and arrived at our hotel.

You can see everything from the outside of the toilet. This is probably designed for horny couples. Of course I wasn't that open-minded so Dianne and I requested for the glass panels to be covered up (with paper). Well, we were actually having some fun posing for such silly photos hahaha.

Guess where my first stop was? WE'RE IN HK, COME ON!
XU LIU SHAN IS THE WAY TO GO!

Ahhh HK is less depressing than Macau, at least I get to see some sunlight. Did I mention that I didn't see a single ray of sunlight while I was in Macau for two days?? HK definitely cheered me up!

We took a bumpy ferry ride to Lamma Island for some trekking, and we stumbled upon the best tauhuay ever! I'm sorry to say that even my favourite Rochor Beancurd got beaten.

Instead of the normal syrup, thick ginger syrup was used! I'm not a fan of ginger to be honest, but I enjoyed it very much, wish I can find it here! The tauhuay was very smooth too. :D THUMBS UP!!

Almost died from the wind. I wasn't really prepared to deal with the cold weather. It gets worse at night. Brrrrr.
Good exercise though!

How can we be in HK and not have MA LA STEAMBOAT???

This is the famous steamboat place which is in the same building as Xiao Fei Yang (small fat sheep) and we initially had a tough time deciding, but we decided to drop Xiao Fei Yang since we heard the service isn't that good.

DUCK BLOOD, my favourite.

Beef, we had a hell lot of it since it was free flow.

You might think this is the ordinary fishball right? WRONG. It's actually a sweet dessert. When you put it into the boiling soup, it becomes translucent and there is custurd in it!! Something special eh? I loved it! Very creative indeed!

Day 4
Bo Lo Bao with charsiew in it! Much much MUCH better than the one I always have at XinWang.

Sausage roll! One is the normal sausage, and the other is a duck liver sausage. I wanted more of the duck liver sausage!!

Guess what this is? Looks kinda cute eh?

It's just waffle! But it's shaped in a way which facilities sharing, you just gotta break it into "eggs".

I told you I'm crazy over Xu Liu Shan.

I even tapao-ed a cup to drink at the hotel lobby while using the free internet service, managed to send baby another email. <3

Last dinner in HK. Think smelly tofu (not smelly enough), dong po meat (very tender and melts in your mouth) , drunken chicken (RAVE
RAVE RAVE) and many other acceptable dishes.

I forgot to mention that Day 4 is also my SHOPPING DAY! I will share some of my loots soon. Very satisfied with some of my purchases! Didn't buy alot though, quality > quantity.

Day 5
More shopping for me!!

Almost back

I will take this week to complete my Macau&HK trip, give me at least 3 days ya? I gotta say, the highlight of the trip was the food, because I've tasted some heavenly food over there, and I will share it with everyone. (: Giving up my "a xu liu shan a day" routine over there was probably the most difficult thing to do.... NOT SO EXAGGERATING LA HOR, but I certainly miss it.

Anyway, back to SG.

I whipped up this sinful sandwich yesterday for baby and I to munch on during the Arsenal-Chelsea NIGHTMARE (don't remind me please, sitting through 90mins of that match was painful enough). Ingredients: Viginia ham, bratwurst sausage, onion-in-mustard dressing (EVERYONE SHOULD TRY IT'S DAMN GOOD, just stir-fry the onion and add in the mustard), cheese, and EXPENSIVE BREAD. It was kinda like a surprise for baby because we didn't meet up for the entire Sunday (which is pretty rare for us). I haven't done anything sweet/nice for baby in a very long time, no thanks to exams and assignments. Since I have the time to do so now, I will spend more time (and effort) on this relationship.

Hans breakfast is pretty worth it if you ask me, I know the lunch/dinner is kinda overpriced and overrated. Sitting down at Hans on a quiet Saturday morning, sipping coffee and just taking a breather is the best way to start your weekend (of course, you gotta find a less crowded Hans outlet, my secret Hans outlet barely had anyone). The omelette was great too, mine had tuna mayo in it! :D

That is baby's new watch (looks kinda futuristic don't you think? at least that's what many people have been telling me), and I'm so glad that he's no longer wearing his typical army-watch (CASIO). There's a matrix effect when the face of the watch lights up and I think it's pretty cool.

Camwhoring:

I wish I had a better camera.

I used my Swensens FREE-ICECREAM coupons and we didn't have to pay for 6 scoops of icecream! Cheap thrill, I know. Of course I didn't just walk into Swensens and just demanded to get my free ice cream, baby and I had our dinner there (so we're still paying customers okay).

By the way, we caught New Moon (unfortunately) and it was a major disappointment. Like I said on FB, Taylor Lautner was the only redeeming factor. Acting skills were non-existent and if you think the movie was even acceptable, I have no respect for you. Yes, you might be a Twilight fan, but come on, there's gotta be a limit as to how much you can take right? You know how they say that "the book will always be better than the movie"? THAT IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. I don't understand how people can still rave about the movie (and say that New Moon is the best movie of the year) as though it's even remotely comparable to anything decent.

On a totally random note,
can you tell that Siang is bow-legged?

Hahaha he's pretty sensitive about it and he tries to hide it by standing in a certain manner.
He will defend himself by saying that VanPersie is bow-legged too. Uh huhhhhh, SO? :p

I guess the best way to gauge the effectiveness of a pillow in Ikea...

is to sleep on it.

You guys must be thinking that I'm crazy for flying to HongKong when my final exams start next Saturday. You know what? You are right, I am crazy. But like my sister said, "work hard, play hard". When I'm reading my AIS textbook AND taking a sip of Xu Liu Shan after a day of insane shopping, I'll know that I am working hard and playing hard at the same time.

I didn't have much time to bid a proper goodbye, but I just wanna let my baby know that I'll miss him while I'm in HK.
And I want him to know that he's the best boyfriend ever.

Baby, please study for your ongoing exams while I'm away. I love you.

Now now... where did the lazy couple head to last Friday for a late dinner? Wait, let me digress a lil. Ever since both of us got our license, I realize we've not been taking public transport, which means no bus no mrt and most importantly, no cab! Think about all the $$$ we've been saving. (: I still do take the bus to school but.. as long as Siang and I go out, we drive! Niceee.

Anyway, Siang brought me to SweeChoon, it was my first time there! VERY IMPRESSIVE I MUST SAY, at very very reasonable prices too. We ate till we wanna puke (yes, Siang too) and the whole meal was about $26. We had to tapao the leftover food home.

Let me introduce the best Lor Mai Kai I've ever eaten, very generous portions of chicken too!

And this is the dish of the night: MEE SUA KUAY. It is actually fried mee sua in cubes. Crispy on the outside, but very soft and NUA on the inside! It was my first time trying this. I've not seen this anywhere else, it's darn good I swear.

We were sitting at the alley because it was full house indoors. And to be honest, it was alright! The place was well-lit and I don't see any pests crawling around (yes I'm referring to cockroachs, I will totally scream and cry if I see one). It wasn't humid whatsoever, so all's good.

Ahhh my cute babyboy. Being the super greedy girlfriend, I couldn't resist having the egg tart and I told Siang that I'll only eat the egg tart if he promises to eat the other one because I didn't wanna be the only one eating and growing fat. I kept trying to tempt him with the eggtart hehe.

Had MR WONG'S BEEF NOODLES on Saturday with Siang and Poksam, imbaaaaaa. And we walked around and had scoopzzzzz. I did some shopping at Watsons, basically my necessities.. Loreal makeup remover on promotion, super worth it!
AND THE HIGHLIGHT OF SATURDAY: I got to finally play with baby (Poksam's dog) which is super small and adorable. She's super hyper and loves playing fetch with her lil red ball. OH MAN I MISS HER ALREADY. ):

It's a Monday and I don't have school till Thursday WOOHOOO. I don't know why but I don't seem to have much motivation to study for my upcoming exams. I'm struggling with AIS because the module is kinda dry and I hate memorizing stuff. Will push myself, I must do well.

Arsenal had a good weekend, a walk in the park actually. Wolves 1-4 Arsenal (2 own goals from Wolves though HAHA). Fabregas scored AGAIN!! I am collecting articles written about my awesome Fabregas. Siang will always notify me of such articles. (: Now we're in second place behind Chelsea with one game in hand so things are still fine. The top 3 are still going strong, can't say that about Liverpool though. Liverpool can't seem to cope with the loss of Alonso and Lucas is a joke, seriously. Was never a fan of Benitez so I'm not feeling sorry for him. Maybe... let Mourinho replace him? Hurr hurr.

A bloody good time

So... where is this crowded place?

Trust me, this was at most 1% of the crowd at The Night Safari last Saturday on Halloween Day! I actually missed an awesome Arsenal match for this: to queue for 2 hours. Fortunately, our boyfriends didn't tag along (they weren't invited HAHA), or else they would have complained and whined like crazy before telling us to give up queuing and just let our $$$ go to waste.

But then, the queue was worth it because it was PC's first time celebrating Halloween after... 7-8 years of friendship. Boy are we getting old.
I drove the Latio for the first time, and it was raining fucking heavily I thought I was gonna die (and cause all my friends to die) because I couldn't even see if I was within my lane and I could barely see the car in front of me.
Anywayyyy, on to happier events.

The 'monsters' loved Karyn so much that almost every one of them went to haunt her while we were in the Train of Terror. She was screaming at EVERY SINGLE THING so I guess it kinda attracted the 'monsters' eh? I was trying to remain composed so I can remain invisible. To think Karyn told me that I would be the one screaming like mad. OH PLEASE.

You know what? When we took this photo, we thought the 'pumpkin man' was fake. I told them I swore I saw the pumpkin man move. Karyn even touched it and said "fake one laaaa". Then we continued walking along the Bridge of No Return and when we came back, guess what? THE PUMPKIN MAN WAS TAKING PHOTOS WITH OTHER PEOPLE, as in he was real all along!!

These two characters were the only two which caused me to jump a lil. I didn't expect a man to be in the well, neither did I think that someone could camouflage himself so well among the trees and bushes.

I loved the Jester, looked freaking eerie. We were trying very hard to locate him in order to take this photo with him.
We were in there for less than 2 hours. Queued 2 hours to have some fun for less than 2 hours. Let me tell you this, I'm pretty sure this will be my first and last time celebrating Halloween at the Night Safari. Like I've said, I'm too old for this. Oh by the way, did I mention I saw Ericia and Ezann Lee with their family? Ericia Lee was smokin' hot and Ezann Lee was freaking gorgeous and stylish!!

I completed 2 chapters of AIS today, I don't know if my progress is far too slow or not. Shall do another 2 chapters tmr. And maybe try to start on MIS on Saturday. Gotta finish mugging for AIS and MIS by this weekend because.... HONGKONG IS ABOUT ONE WEEK AWAY!!
Shall call my baby now.
